What we store

HonestSky collects very little. Here's everything we may have:

Push notification token + location coordinates (only if you enabled push weather alerts). Location is rounded to a ~5km grid. Stored on our server until you opt out.
Email address + zip code (only if you signed up for the newsletter). Stored on our server until you unsubscribe.

Forecast requests send only a coordinate rounded to a ~5km grid. Saved locations and app preferences otherwise remain on your device unless you enable background alerts.

How to delete your data

Open HonestSky on your phone
Go to Settings (gear icon in the bottom tab bar)
Scroll to the bottom and tap "Delete My Data"
Confirm by tapping "Delete Everything"

This immediately removes all your data from our servers, including:

Push notification registration and location data
Newsletter subscription and email address
Local weather cache on your device
Saved locations and app preferences on your device

Deletion is instant. We don't retain any data after you delete it. There is no additional retention period.

Uninstalling the app

If you uninstall HonestSky without tapping "Delete My Data" first, your on-device data is automatically removed by your phone. However, if you had push alerts or newsletter enabled, that server-side data will remain until you reinstall and use the delete option, or contact us directly.
